Report: How can society balance the global imperative to decarbonize its energy system without risking energy needs and affordability? How can we unlock the role of Oil and Gas in this transition? To this end, the World Economic Forum is bringing together leaders from the Oil and Gas and Climate communities to shape and drive a data-driven industry dialogue that aims to support the sector’s decarbonization trajectory and fosters dialogue and trust among stakeholders.
Objectives and format: This meeting will help shape the development and focus of the new dialogue series hosted by the World Economic Forum. It will identify critical synergies and help define key barriers and opportunities. This multilateral session is an informal, small-scale, and private meeting bringing together select Oil and Gas executives, Climate and Energy experts and financiers to discuss the need and potential of bringing together stakeholders crucial to driving the energy transition. It aims to provide a safe space for different perspectives that allow for a systemic conversation on the barriers and opportunities to meet the net zero trajectory milestones whilst limiting supply shocks.

- How can investments play a role in driving transitionary milestones?
What synergies can be developed to leverage the momentum of COP28 and other ongoing
initiatives?
