Yann Robiou du Pont
Research fellow at Utrecht University on climate justice challenges to achieve the Paris AgreementYann Robiou du Pont is a Marie Curie researcher at Utrecht University working on assessing the fairness and ambition of climate pledges from countries, cities and companies. His research is published in high impact journals (Science and Nature Climate Change) and expert reports are used by courts in climate litigation cases against fossil-fuel (TotalEnergies) companies countries (KlimaSeniorinnen and EU countries), by government to set their emissions targets (the UK, Australian state of Victoria), by diplomats, and for corporate assessment. Outside academia, Yann worked with diplomats from the EU and vulnerable countries for COPs, with local governments (Valencia, C40), and with jurists on expert reports for courts, including for the European Court of Human Rights and the International Court of Justice.
