Alice Rota has defended her MSc Thesis

Congratulations to Alice Rota for succesfully defending her MSc thesis at UvA!
Alice Rota has been awarded her Research MSc degree in International Development Studies after her defense on July 6th, 2026. Her research:
- focuses on sovereign lending for renewable energy projects in the Global South
- analyses how financing terms and institutional arrangements affect access to climate finance and opportunities for South–South cooperation.
We wish her all the best and will continue to eagerly follow her next steps!
"[I'm left] with reflections on who defines the terms of this transition and how questions of justice, access, and sovereignty enter (or not) the conversation. I look forward to continuing these reflections on how finance can better support just and locally grounded energy solutions, both through my ongoing fieldwork and in dialogue with others engaging with these questions from different contexts and experiences"
